After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Jean passed away as she lived, surrounded by her family and love. Wife and soulmate of James Olsen. Mother and best friend of Lynda Garrow, Catherine Hinton (Steve) and Michelle Zacchigna (Michael). Beloved grandmother of Kiersten, Ashley, Danielle and many nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Shirley Hewgill (Robert) and twin Joan Marks (James). Lawn bowling was her passion, Jean was a long time member of the Elora Lawn Bowling Club and Summer Shuffle Club. Nothing was more important to Jean than family and friends. She passed on her compassion, strength and love to those who were lucky enough to have known her. Private Family Service. Public Visitation for Jean will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home – Fergus Chapel, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
