Obituary for Klaus Stendel

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Klaus (Teddy) Franz Stendel on Tuesday, May 29th at the age of 81. He spent his last days in one of his favourite places Matheson, Ontario, where he and his wife Christle spent 34 glorious years at their cottage. He is survived by his wife, Christl Stendel (Sessel), his sons Tom Stendel and Troy Stendel (Tammy), his 4 grandchildren Ashlyn Groff Stendel, Dustin Stendel (Kayla), Lexi Stendel, Lana Stendel and 3 great grandchildren, Madison, Owen & Reid Stendel. He is also survived by his younger sister Monika Koenig (Uli). He was predeceased by his parents Charlotte and Franz Stendel.
Teddy was born in Berlin, Germany and Immigrated to Canada at the age of 20. He played soccer for the Concordia Club, belonged to the hunting club and retired from Schneiders in 1997.
He will be sadly missed by many friends and family here in Ontario and in Germany.
The entire Stendel family would like to thank the staff at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson for their dedication and valiant efforts.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation from 1-4 pm (Sunday) at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Homes-Waterloo Chapel, 617 King St. N., Waterloo (opposite Home Depot). Donations to the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences online at 519.888. 7700.
